Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on 10/14/2025.

We at NYC Collegiate Esports Circuit (NYCCEC) are working to make our site accessible to people with disabilities.

1. Our Commitment

The NYC Collegiate Esports Circuit (NYCCEC) is committed to ensuring that our website and programs are accessible to all people, regardless of ability or technology. We actively work to provide an inclusive digital experience that reflects our community values — accessibility, equity, and respect for all players, fans, and visitors.

We strive to adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which outline how to make web content more accessible to individuals with disabilities, including those who use assistive technologies like screen readers, voice navigation, and keyboard-only input.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We have adapted this site in accordance with WCAG 2.2 guidelines, and have made the site accessible to the level of AA.
This site's contents have been adapted to work with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard use.

2. Accessibility Features on Our Website

  • To help make our website more usable for everyone, we have implemented or continue to implement the following features:

  • Keyboard Navigation: All main features, menus, and links can be accessed using keyboard controls.

  • High Color Contrast: We maintain clear color contrast between text and backgrounds for readability.

  • Alternative Text: Images include descriptive alternative text wherever possible.

  • Responsive Design: The site adapts to different devices and screen sizes.

  • Descriptive Links and Labels: Links and buttons clearly describe their purpose.

  • Accessible Forms: Input fields on registration or contact forms include clear labels and instructions.

Our website is built on the Wix platform, which supports accessible design templates, ARIA labels, and semantic HTML structure by default.

3. Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is an ongoing effort for NYCCEC. As we expand our events, media, and digital presence, we regularly review and update our website to improve accessibility. We test our pages with accessibility evaluation tools and welcome feedback from users to help us improve.
